Liz Copland is the Program Director for College Edge, where she helps welcome incoming students to the University of Washington through an early, immersive academic experience. She also works closely with gesture, supporting programs that connect liberal arts learning with storytelling, career readiness, and emerging technologies.

Over the past decade, Liz has supported undergraduate students as an Academic Adviser in the UW School of Art, Art History, and Design. In her work with gesture, she is deeply committed to helping students recognize the value of their diverse experiences, build confidence, and learn how to articulate their stories in academic, professional, and creative contexts.

Liz holds a BFA in Ceramics and an MA in Art History from the University of Washington. She believes strongly in studying what you love, contributing meaningfully to the UW community, and building relationships that support learning and growth during the undergraduate years and beyond.
