C21 Internship Bootcamp

Face the challenge of what comes next

Priority for the Spring 2021 Bootcamp is for current C21 Externs

Are You Stressed About Internships?

Does it feel like everyone else has an internship, or a better internship than you do? Whether you are about to start your internship, in the middle of one, or still looking, the C21 Internship Bootcamp will ensure that you will have the skills to take full advantage of your next opportunity.

The truth is, it is up to you to transform an ordinary internship into the unique story that gets you a full-time position. And the clock starts ticking your first day on the job.

In the C21 Internship Bootcamp you’ll see how to use your first two weeks at an internship to prove you are a more than a student. You’ll develop the skills employers want, and learn how to establish a reputation as a capable, reliable professional.

Make sure you are the person they can trust with the challenges and responsibilities that open the door to better opportunities.

Next Bootcamp: April 12 - April 30, 2021

Eligibility: Only open to undergraduates in the College of Arts & Sciences (Seattle-campus)

Reasons You Should Do It

  • Learn skills you would get in an internship or 1st job. You will onboarded as a new trainee: you will have work responsibilities; you will have a manager; you will be evaluated.
  • Get work experience for your resume, and stories for your interviews. You will leave with important work stories you need to talk about: hurdles overcome and lessons learned.
  • Pay no tuition or fee. The cost of the bootcamp is your time. You have to commit, as you would to an internship or a job, to working for the duration of the program.

What is an "Internship Bootcamp?"

The Internship Bootcamp is a 3-week, immersive training program to develop your professional skills in a real-world setting. All of this will happen remotely, like most professional work around the world right now.

As part of your training (approx 10 hrs/week) you will be onboarded with a cohort of intern trainees into gesture--our own C21 training startup--where you will have a manager, work responsibilities, and constant feedback and evaluation.

The work you will undertake in this professional environment will be designed specifically to challenge and stretch you, because the most important skills and lessons are learned through challenge. In this program, you'll be able to learn--and risk--safely. This is what makes it a bootcamp. Are you the kind of person truly ready for challenge, committed to the hard work of embracing ambiguity and learning from failure?  If that’s you, join us!

Priority Applications

Currently, only students in the C21@Amazon and C21@Microsoft Externship programs have priority for the April Bootcamp.

Not Currently Accepting Applications

"Recently, I began a campaign and project management internship and I have been putting all of my lessons from gesture into our work. This past week the management offered me a promotion to be one of 8 committee chairs in a program of over 100 interns, and I know it was my work with you all that helped me contribute effectively and stand out as a team member! "

Emily, 2020 intern

"This kind of high stakes simulation was extremely beneficial for my personal growth...I learned more from this summer than I have in past internships just sitting in offices."

Wynston, past intern

Student Testimonial

What makes a "good" internship or job opportunity? It's not what you might think. Student Jacinta explains what this Internship Bootcamp meant to her.
