Make strides toward a meaningful career

Do you ever wonder how you’ll turn your degree into a meaningful career? Where should you begin? What can you do to have a better chance of snagging that internship, job, or graduate program admissions letter?

When you leave UW, you will enter a world very different from the one into which the previous generation graduated, with challenges and opportunities that we cannot even imagine today. This special lab, offered in partnership with A&S departmental advisors and the Career & Internship Center, is designed to help you successfully navigate emergent career possibilities by leveraging the unique set of skills and strengths you already bring as a student of the Arts & Sciences. Through a story framework, career-development tools, team-based projects, and a supportive community of peers and mentors, this class will better prepare you to adapt to and thrive in an ever-changing 21st-century job market.

“…the transition from education to employment can be bumpy, even for our best students. Across the College, we are working hard to smooth that road as much as possible…” – Robert Stacey, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences
